Check it out. I had no idea he was back doing his own thing and none of my buddies did either. I know some folks here don't like him, but I figured there's likely a lot of folks here like me who were fans of him and didn't realize that he had a new show

I knew, it's alright, depends on the guests but he usually always gets decent guests. I'd recommend it.

Damn, poor Bobcat. I hadn't heard ANYTHING about it. Pretty crazy after all this time that the biggest name in Canadian sports talk radio only has 7 thousand subs on Youtube.

 

Internet viability is all about how big of a social media profile you can create and it doesn't look like McCown's spent any time in building that. A shame. It sucks that even household names in this day and age can't make it anywhere without the system.

Yeah it's a different market. The people who listened to Bob were traditional media consumers, not the type of people who listen to podcasts. There wasn't much overlap.

He is almost 70 years old. An original on the Global ground breaking show Sportsline that tatti and Hebsy took over. One of the first to put a radio show on a sports channel. he had a great run.

Very much a push versus pull audience reveal. This tells us that a lot of his radio listeners just needed some white noise on the drive home.

For the fellow baseball nerds out there, I'd also highly recommend the CBC sports' Fantasy Baseball Today podcast. IMO it's the best daily baseball coverage on the scene. If there's better out there, I've yet to hear it.
