Slade Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2021 Posted July 4, 2021 That's what I figured, honestly. Now he doubles up and says get used to it, f***, Castro's better. Right, now he's just doubling down and like we're using him, f*** it! But showing less confidence in the guys who have been showing improvement like Castro, Payamps, Saucedo.
John Balkabella Verified Member Posted July 4, 2021 Posted July 4, 2021 Dolis was heart attack inducing last year, and vomit inducing this year. I’m sure he’s had clean innings, I just don’t recall them.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2021 Posted July 4, 2021 Eeyore often appears in crossword puzzles, if you are in to that type of thing. I am. What's this now?
John Balkabella Verified Member Posted July 4, 2021 Posted July 4, 2021 It is a common answer. Crossword creators need lots of vowels to make the puzzle work, and “ Eeyore “ qualifies.
max silver Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2021 Posted July 5, 2021 This is going to have to be a Panik thing where Atkins just takes him away from Montoyo. I just don't get why he can't get him some innings in low leverage situations until he shows better performance? A normal manager with proper cognitive abilities would make Dolis earn his trust before throwing him into a high leverage situation. It seems like with Charlie that trust extends over several seasons. Dolis did a a decent job in a small 60 game sample last season, but how does this still earn him the kind of rope he's been given this season? Dolis has been terrible in 2021, and just like with Chatwood it feels like a good chance he's going to melt down with every appearance. Instead of determining which guys are going well and reacting accordingly Charlie seems more likely to play favorites and just hope for the best. This team is in desperate need of a manager who can make proper tactical decisions on a day to day basis.
