Hoying had already been demoted to make room for Teoscar coming off paternity leave. This is just them saying he's being assigned to Buffalo.

 

Davis was also already off the roster for paternity leave himself, they're just sending him straight to the minors instead of adding him back to the 26-man and sending down someone else.
