DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 It's so strange though with Biggio's looks very athletic but he can't read short hops. I hope he can figure out 2B cause I love seeing his at bats. Lots of time yet for him to get comfortable at second.

Ex Player Verified Member Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 So I was out of town and unable to watch the game, here's a couple of positives I found in todays game: Vladdy continues to hit the s*** out of the ball. Yesterday's line drive went about 20 feet over the LF'ers head, I have never seen that before in my life (not by that margin). SRF 1 earnie over 4 innings is good, although 4 walks is of course not. And yes I realize the O's suck but its at least a small positive. Boshers, Mayza also pitched well. Teoscar and Bo also continue to have hot bats. I think the offence rebuild is going very well. Only problem now is the SP. Relievers you can always sign as FA's when the time comes, so thats not a major concern IMO

He didn't know where any of his pitches were going.

Ex Player Verified Member Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 90-91 and minus minus command. Looked like a DFA candidate Fair enough, you cant see MPH on the radio obviously. So you're saying Orioles hitters basically got themselves out, and not much to do with SRF's stuff

BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 90-91 and minus minus command. Looked like a DFA candidate. Buck and Pat said SRF dialed it down in favor of command, I’m not sure it helped that much. He still touched 96 but was mostly sitting 90-93, it looked hittable. Command was spotty and sometimes missed by 6++ inches. Slider flashed good break but difficult to get hitters to bite when FB is this inconsistent. DFA is a bit harsh, I still think he could be a decent BP arm and 12%+ SwStr and two potential above average pitches isn’t half bad. My only concern is SRF doesn’t seem to pitch very well out of the stretch with runners on base, from what I’ve seen in Buffalo. But he’s never been groomed to work in the BP like they did with Romano, so things could improve.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 4 hit game for Randal!!! Summer Grichuk is real
