Radio Scouts Podcast Ep. 27: Marcus Stroman Trade Reaction + Bo Bichette Promotion

I liked Nick's cautious optimism, though I can see why Alan (and others) would be disappointed with Atkins seemingly not getting his money's worth in trades. It's hard to be satisfied after what Anthopoulos managed to pull off sometimes.

What I think is that maybe the Jays' scouting department identified SWR as one of the most underrated prospects in baseball, a guy who would have made it to 'untouchable' status next year, one that probably has higher raw upside than the likes of Deivi Garcia. 'He's still in A-ball' is almost the only knock against him, and while it is relevant, it's a chance to pick up an elite arm with far less uncertainty than a HS/JC draft arm or even a rookie ball lottery ticket. I think there may just be some scouts who were like 'forget whatever the Yankees are peddling, Ross, you gotta get this SWR dude if the Mets are willing.' That, and the Twins were probably loathe to give up Graterol.

The fans are like 'two guys who aren't in even in the consensus top 100s, this is nonsense!', while the Jays are like 'yeah but they're both in OUR top 50'. Maybe.

Seems like a light haul but possibly the market wasn't there on Stroman as many thought.

Mets have done well with pitching prospects over the years and the just took the top 2 off the that team.

Revisit in 4 years is my guess.

The turkey bacon from Firehouse is outstanding... As is the meatball. Those are 2 of my 3 go to's. Ever try the brisket? Glorious sub.

The brisket is good but it's too much of the same thing all the way through. Firehouse f***ing owns, though. I'd take one Firehouse sub over free Subway for a year.

I can only do a small brisket... And perhaps that's why. It's extremely filling. But man I love the flavor. Yes. Their subs are primo.

There's a Subway three minutes walking distance from my house, but I still wouldn't eat there much even if it was free (I'm a snob, I guess). Firehouse, I'd never heard of. Probably hasn't made its way across the Atlantic yet.
