Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 Which one of you threw a dildo on the field?
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 A contender is going to blow their load for Giles at the deadline. In the meantime we can blow our loads watching him pitch. A win/win.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 Which one of you threw a dildo on the field? LettheballFly most likely.
Ex Player Verified Member Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 He throws it away For crissakes, he better not be injured
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 Tim Anderson had no business hitting that, hope Giles is alright because this has been an unreal level of dominance.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 No Buck, you don't hit .325 by not hitting anything hard.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 No Buck, you don't hit .325 by not hitting anything hard. TBF they weren’t saying don’t aim to hit it hard. They meant that if even the pitches you don’t hit well fall in for hits then you’re going to have a high average - which is technically correct.

Buck was actually trying to say that given the speed of the runner, you'll be able to earn some cheap base hits.

Ex Player Verified Member Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 Vlad's defense at 3B still needs a bit of work though
Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 Vlad's defense at 3B still needs a bit of work though Way better than I thought he would be
Ex Player Verified Member Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 Way better than I thought he would be His arm yes, his fielding no. But that's okay, he is still a kid and he will get better
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 His arm yes, his fielding no. But that's okay, he is still a kid and he will get better Not necessarily, fielding has a tendency to peak very early. Obviously, if Vlad loses like 20-30 pounds he could become more agile, but that's no guarantee.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 I think if he hits the way he's projected to, we would all take a modest 40 on Vladdy's fielding, and he might be better than that. There's a chance he'll stick at third for the first couple years. We've already seen his plus arm and he's not so slow for a chunky dude.
