I blame drury on that. Teoscar was walking back to the bag and drury flung his bat and was jogging to first. I can see how a base runner might lose the count. The batter never should

I'm sick of trading players for these raclamation projects. Just hold on to Smoak if all we are going to get in return is another Brito or Hanson

 

They traded them to free up the roster spots for our young players, many of whom will be up at some point this year. Guys like Brito and Hanson are just to put warm, disposable bodies out there until they're ready. Who knows, maybe one of them catches fire and returns something themselves (looking unlikely).

I think Sierra was orders of magnitude worse. In fairness, he WAS heading back to the base when Drury started jogging to 1st. He made a mistake, but it's a somewhat understandable one.
