Alford is the only guy I'd have up here that isn't up here. Vlad needs some "seasoning" (read: we need to get that extra year of control) and Bo, Biggio etc aren't knocking hard enough that I'd force them onto this team.

 

But how many ab's has Alford had in his career at AAA....basically nothing. He's had bad luck but hasn't knocked on the door hard enough.

He had a great second half last year, he had an excellent 2017 in AA, and he had a great spring training... He's knocked a hell of a lot harder than any of the other OFs we have (other than Grichuk)
