Hand just has to throw anything close to the plate and it will be called a strike.

The other pitches were close. Third strike to Randal was waaaaay off though

If you think differently, you’re the one who’s lost their mind. You honestly think we aren’t going to finish dead last? I’m just not a disillusioned homer. I love the Jays, but I call it as I see it. Keep drinking the Kool Aid.

3 pitches, 3 swinging strikes.

He might not see lefties well

He did guess right and took a good swing on that first pitch fastball, he just missed it.

What a terrible game.

Really glad I watched the Lugnuts game instead.

Oh, wait, it actually was the Jays. Nevermind.

Crazy... I thought our offense would be OK and our pitching would be shaky... as usual I'm wrong.

Brito should not even be in a major league line-up... but on our team he's batting 2nd... nice.

What the hell was with all the jackals howling all game?

That was just bizarre.

I would be so annoyed being at that game and having idiots around me doing that all night.

It might have been better at the game, those idiots were probably on top of the mics.

Empty stadiums get it all the time. Same thing right now in Pittsburgh, Oakland, etc...

He replaced Smoak in the lineup, when he was a late scratch, so rather than completely change the lineup, he just swapped Brito in. I'm not saying it was the right move, or a good move, but that's the explanation.

The original lineup:

(not the ONLY change, but...)

It was Hanson that replaced Smoak, Brito was previously in at 9. Not that it matters much when the opposing team's starter nearly gets a no hitter every game!
