Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 He's probably never going to be a good defender, but if he can turn a few of those k's into walks he probably turns into Nick Castellanos. I think that with some work on that, he might have a couple of 2 WAR seasons in him, which wouldn't be a bad result at all.

I think Castellanos has a bit more pure hitting ability whereas Teoscar has more raw power, but that's a pretty good comp for the latter's ceiling.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Missed the Pillar AB, what happened
Corporal Valdal Verified Member Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Missed the Pillar AB, what happened He was his horrible self! The man straight up can not hit at the MLB level anymore...
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 f'ing Pillar, needed to be moved in the offseason
Corporal Valdal Verified Member Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Can we please get Pillar off this team already. He reeks of the smell of the old system.....

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 I wonder what the Jays' record is when Shulman is in the booth. I know it's really bad unfortunately.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Aaron Sanchez isn't good at béisbol. Annoying to see
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 pop-up to 2b, not a good at bat Yep, Pillar looks done offensively.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Buck reminds me of Joe Bowen both just dont have the mind or alertness anymore for live television! If Buck even had 1/10th of Bowen's play by play skills, we'd be ok.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 You guys seem to forgot that Pillar was never a good hitter, well below average, actually.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 You guys seem to forgot that Pillar was never a good hitter, well below average, actually. And its getting worse, and so is his defense. We arent forgetting anything.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 And its getting worse, and so is his defense. We arent forgetting anything. based on what, 10 ab's? He's not very good and i'd rather see Alford but dont be incredulous in your statements
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Sanchez probably done for the day.

Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 And its getting worse, and so is his defense. We arent forgetting anything. Will you give it a f***ing rest, Pillar is 30 not 35. He's not worth much in a trade so we're not missing out on a haul, stop obsessing!

Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Sanchez probably done for the day. Yeah. I've missed watching him pitch fully fit, an encouraging start.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 I don't expect Pillar to be on this club come June, I just hope his value doesn't lower even more than it already is with a terrible start.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 I can say what I want in here, bobby boy Every f***ing thread.......... change the record
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Urena fought and played hard the last few years not to be a forgotten case. Happy for the guy.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 He was his horrible self! The man straight up can not hit at the MLB level anymore... Anymore? His career high wRC+ is 94. Career 86.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Urena fought and played hard the last few years not to be a forgotten case. Happy for the guy. He's still getting sent down as soon as Vlad is up though.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Every f***ing thread.......... change the record I'll continue criticizing Pillar, OK. Just deal with it
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Turnbull has definitely lost his early inning velocity. Sitting 90-91 now as opposed to 93-94 in the first and second innings. His second time around was rough.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Yeah. I've missed watching him pitch fully fit, an encouraging start. For sure, just needs to work on filling the zone a bit more and keep his pitch count down.
Corporal Valdal Verified Member Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Urena fought and played hard the last few years not to be a forgotten case. Happy for the guy. I am a big fan of Urena! I can see him being a reliable utlitly infielder with some pop and decent defense for the rest of this career with us!
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Sanchez back out at 87 pitches? Hmmmm..
