I emailed that if they didn't change to KMH I was cancelling. This is Canada..

So in Canada it is not 90' between bases and 60' 6 " from the mound to home plate..? In hoser baseball the mound is 18.4 meters. from home plate..? Almost as gay as liters instead of gallons when filling up your car...

By the way, liters is just a Govt conspiracy to make you not notice how much gas really costs and how much you are taxed/ getting screwed every-time you go to the pump in Canada. ;)

Are you trying to suggest the metric system is inferior to the imperial system? If so, you're going to lose this debate. It's also not 2005. You shouldn't call something gay.

Wasn't trying to suggest anything. Simply stating a facetious reply to the OP who I also believe was being facetious. I do think that Canada, who is much more closely aligned in business and trade with the US then Europe made things more difficult and costlier when they switched to metric. It would have made much more sense if Canada was a country in Europe and not North America.

Gay in this use has absolutely no sexual connotation nor is supposed to be disparaging as to ones sexual preference. The word has many connotations, such as the original meaning as feeling happy. The word is not solely a one meaning word and solely derogatory or to infer sexual preference. It is not a word such as the N word which is an absolute no no and has no other connotations.

However, in order to appease those who might be more sensitive or easily offended, I will strive to use another word to get my thoughts on something across..

Like OMG, that is the most sappy (no offense to Maple trees) video I have ever seen.. Or Almost as Trudeau (no offense to the Liberal Party of Canada) as using liters instead of gallons. ;)

If the US would, y'know, move into the 20th century and convert to Metric themselves a lot of this s*** could be solved. Also, it's litres, because we speak English, not 'murrican on this board.
