He has looked very bad his last few outings, command/control is very bad lately, which is a disaster since his fastball 88-92. Seems inevitable he will lose his 40man spot this offseason.

It appears as if Shapiro is going to give him every opportunity to impress and possibly give him the starting LF job. Leaving him in vs the LHR is a good indication.
