Defence let Happ down but no excuse to throw this many pitches against New York and Boston back to back while not getting past the 4th inning in either start.

He was dealing before that play. Can't give MLB team's extra outs.

Yeah Happ really couldnt locate the breaking ball. No idea why he threw it with the full count to Bradley and Betts on deck. Then Betts was able to totally spit on the breaking ball which is why he was able to have that great at bat

The 3-2 slider to Bradley was awful call. Bradley is the one who should have got all those fastballs not Betts.

Did you watch that half-inning? What transpired is in absolutely no way on Happ. There were three chances for the Jays to be out of that inning either completely unscathed or with very limited damage absorbed.

He threw over 40 pitches and still couldn’t finish the inning. Yes it’s not his fault but errors happen behind you some times. If that causes him to throw nearly 50 pitches in 2/3 of an inning then not sure what else can be said. Betts working you into deep counts is understandable but he wasn’t the only one in that inning.

Ouch. That's insane...

Beyond all of that, the Angels will continue to face scrutiny for the rampant injury troubles that have permeated their rotation in recent seasons. In the last three years alone, the Angels have had Richards, Andrew Heaney, Tyler Skaggs, Nick Tropeano, J.C. Ramirez, Keynan Middleton, Blake Wood and John Lamb undergo Tommy John surgery, and that already plentiful list doesn’t include the current UCL tear through which Shohei Ohtani is playing (while serving only as a designated hitter). Meanwhile, others such as Alex Meyer, Nate Smith and Matt Shoemaker have gone under the knife for myriad other reasons.

At least we've finally gotten Biagini sorted out again.

Biagini on his move back to the pen:

"I’m trying to focus on something I can do well. Pitching is hard in any capacity, going back and forth’s hard, sticking in one role’s hard, bullpen’s hard, starting’s hard. It’s all tough and so I feel like a role that is thought highly of, that would fit me, in an organization is something that I can be excited about,” Biagini said.

“Honestly, I don’t even know if I would ever want to try starting again. I might. If I get that opportunity I probably wouldn’t say no but I know that there’s maybe certain things that I’ve learned that I’m better suited to do. Sometimes one person is better at one thing than another.”

Betts really pimped his home run trot on his grand slam

I'm fine with pimping a big home run like Betts did. Doing it when you're down by 10 in the late innings or something is a little questionable.

The price to acquire Happ has dropped

I was under the impression that when a fan reaches way the f*** over the fence to grab a fly ball it counts as a home run.

Didn't that fugly KC fan do something like that to f*** us over in 2015? Or am I remembering something else.

No just interference if it's in play.

If they were going to use Granderson to pinch run. Why not do it when Smoak was at second...

What the hell was Gibby thinking? Now Martin's at 3rd and 2 of their best hitters are out of the game.
