Our oldest daughter in about 2005 said most of her highschool senior football players were on PEDS!

 

that was the case on my high school football team in the 1980's

The only thing furosemide is used for (medically) is heart failure, fluid-buildup (due to liver/kidney failure or end-stage disease) and rarely, if ever, for hypertension. Since I doubt with the first two conditions, he would be able to play, it would be high blood pressure for which there are many better drugs (first-line).

 

So... hm.

Regardless...no MLB player should take anything without filing a TUE. There is zero medical reason that is a legit excuse for this.
