Gibby has been pretty hit and miss this season. A lot of his lineups have been head-scratchers. Sitting multiple starters in games, batting guys way higher in the lineup than they should be ETC. I know he had a good game today, but I don't see any reason why Kevin Pillar should be batting 5th and there's gotta be better options than Solarte in cleanup.

Yeah I agree, except pillar, he's been half decent this year minus a few mishaps and I'd rather see him hitting 5th than Russell Martin and that seems to be the only choices we have with gibby.

Gibby needs to stop stroking f***ing egos, Diaz has been s***, Morales has been s***, quit throwing them out there when uve got grandy and gurriel, don't care if it's a lefty, grandy can still hit a lefty better than Morales

Gurriel posted a wRC+ of 17 so far this year. Diaz isn't hitting, but neither is Gurriel. I guess Gibby could play Solarte at SS a bit (when Estrada and Happ are starting?), but he doesn't really have good options at SS right now.

I don't really know numbers and stats and stuff but I'm sure ur right about what u posted, I just go by what I see during a game and gurriel seems to at least make better contact than Diaz, he may not be getting all the hits teoscar is but he is hitting it hard, Diaz is more like Morales right now, can't hit a breaking ball if his life depended on it, and at least gurriel tries to work the count a bit and take pitches, Diaz seems to strike out on 3 pitches or pop the first one in the air most of the time, I guess gibby doesn't have a huge amount of options but I still think gurriel is a better one than Diaz at the moment

Gurriel does indeed make hard contact:
