I'm wondering if a JD extension is already agreed and will be announced when season is over. Not what I would do, although he will likely earn the contract and more in full (barring further injuries) before becoming a negative value asset. Shapiro operating within Rogers revenue/popularity expectations.

If Teoscar can get his K rate back to around that 20% where he was in the minors and his Walk rate was always decent. I think he should be alright

JD isn't going to give up free agency to sign early when he's still an elite player. Dude will wait a year and get his money a year from now.

So we have Teoscar and JD Martinez and Alford in CF..... I am sold
