West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Just wanted to say I worked day shift today for the Mayweather and McGregor press conference and have nothing to do with this gongshow of audio and broadcast issues tonight.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Sportsnet such an amateur production.

I just assumed that there is a shootout going on in the streets by the mobile unit. Any good off camera tidbits from the presser?

I don't understand the attraction of the press conferences. I mean, the fight itself, sure. Why do people find all the pre-fight trash talking so appealing?

Why do people find all the pre-fight trash talking so appealing? It's promoting the fight. I think the first 2 were entertaining but they decided to do 4 in 4 straight days and just stale and cringy. 2 men can only call each other little bitches so many times.

I don't think it will be much of a fight at all. As someone in boxing I don't know what is the best result to promote the sport though
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Lol Danny Barnes was walking back to the wrong dugout.
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Very doubtful that Connor wins, but I think it will be a lot closer than people think. Boxing is dumb as f*** anyways. In a boxing ring- Floyd>Connor In a octagon- Connor>>>>Floyd. Floyd is too much of a bitch though to ever fight in a octagon.
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Hasn't Pillar been a better base stealer than Zeke this yr.....?

In a boxing ring- Floyd>Connor In a octagon- Connor>>>>Floyd. Floyd is too much of a bitch though to ever fight in a octagon. Connor is a striker. He feels very comfortable boxing. He actually prefers it. Hes not that great on the ground. He's only ever lost in the UFC by submission and that isn't an option here. He has to knock Mayweather out to win though. He hits hard and has the stamina to keep hitting Mayweather. Mayweather will have a simple gameplan that will give him the win leaving it up to the judging. I hope Connor knocks him out but Mayweather is way to good defensively to leave any openings to an inexperienced Boxer.
baubau Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 I didn't know Devon Travis was still traveling with the team lol. Seeing him in the dugout threw me off.
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Why is boxing dumb? *Correction When Floyd boxes, it's dumb. I get it, he's obviously the best at what he does. I just don't understand why people pay big money to watch a guy dance around the ring avoiding contact. It's not entertaing at all. Hence the fact why I believe UFC>Boxing. Floyd is a opportunist, which makes his boxing matches a snooze fest. He knows how to win obviously, so I'll give him that I hope Connor beats the absolute f*** out of him, I just can't see it happening due to the fact Floyd will dance around the ring avoiding any sort of contact as per usual

The little nuances of the game go unappreciated. Mayweather is greatest defensive boxer ever and hes very technically sound almost never making a mistake. People just want to see guys throw haymakers at each other. If fighters did that the careers of fighters wouldn't last very long.
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Quite the outing by Chapman, yikes
