West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2017 Author Posted July 1, 2017 The future does look bright if we are trying to look on the positive side of things here. Maybe by 2020 we are back at contending in the AL East?

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 A pitching change? Seriously? It's 7-0, save the f***ing pen and let Harrell get the final out.

Omar Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Hmmm....I wonder if Gibby let Pearce pinch hit for Goins or Zeke in extra innings yesterday that maybe, perhaps........nah, forget it.....crazy talk.

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Projection on fangraphs still has the Jays with 82 wins (tied with Rays for 2nd wild card). I wonder how much they will downgrade that projection if they get swept this weekend. how much they will downgrade it when they lose tomorrow and then go 2 and 5 next week. http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/8/files/2011/05/fork.jpg
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Lourdes is our saviour, that injury sucked as he'd likely be playing at some point this season. He'll likely make the team in'18, good call. He's got a wRC+ of 3 in A+ ball fwiw.

Atlas Verified Member Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 What is the Jays record for wins vs losses on Canada Day anyway? Found the answer to my own question. Jays are now a record 14-25 in Canada Day games. HAPPY CANADA DAY EVERYBODY!!!!
Yippy Verified Member Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Jays have to be proactive and start selling of some of these over 30 players. They need to somehow get rid of Tulo probably eating most of his contact. He is such a liability in the lineup . Donaldson despite his struggles will still command a good return. We are now seeing the results of AA trading away the future for short term gain.
