He was a fun player to watch and he had a few good stretches (basically the stretch when he first arrived and his work in the playoffs) but his brief, middling though very entertaining tenure was already acknowledged with a whole Father's Day promotion built around him. That was in essence his sendoff. Anything beyond that would be overkill.

That was in essence his sendoff. Anything beyond that would be overkill. I liked the story about he was a kid in the Jays clubhouse and grew up with us as his favourite team. That's a little unique for older players given that our franchise is relatively young and based in a different country.
