Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Ottawa winning the cup on Canada's 150th birthday. I hope the NHL season doesn't go to July. It's to long already. /green
wk680 Verified Member Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 there was some serious meatballs in that at bat Maile is clearly a well below replacement level catcher on the offensive side. It's like watching an NL team with him in the lineup.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 biagini getting tired Only one way to get stronger brother.

Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Only one way to get stronger brother. It's a process, there is such a thing as pushing him too far too fast.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 I've been saying I don't like seeing him go through a rotation a third time. I'd just pull him to start the 6th

Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Buck and Pat are doing it again. Pillar isn't a good hitter, just a hot streak idiots
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Buck and Pat are doing it again. Pillar isn't a good hitter, just a hot streak idiots Pillar has been a good hitter all season
baubau Verified Member Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Buck and Pat are doing it again. Pillar isn't a good hitter, just a hot streak idiots I mean, at least Pillar's hot streak is sexy. 131 wRC+, increase in BB from 4.1% to 7.6% and no redonk BABIP, currently .339 and career's BABIP is .307.

Pillar isn't a good hitter, just a hot streak idiots We are going to have to wait and see if some of the signs of an improved approach and better results are sustained. Could be one of those things where he has a career year or half year and then regresses back (like Saunders first half in 2016).
Governator Community Moderator Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Man Biagini has really helped us out. That could have been Latos throwing.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Buck and Pat are doing it again. Pillar isn't a good hitter, just a hot streak idiots I don't agree 100%. He's got a terrible eye and swings at too many bad pitches. The number of pitches outside the zone he swings at is down. He's never going to walk a lot as his contact rates on the pitches in the zone is good. He's not a 130 wRC hitter...but I wouldn't call him a bad hitter either. He's showing good signs of improvement.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 How much control do we have on Biagini? free agent in 2022
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Remember when goins started walking a couple of years ago? Fool me once, i say the real Pillar will show up soon. Walk rate will dip and the numbers will plummet
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 How much control do we have on Biagini? 4 more years.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Lol at Tabler thinking Loup was ever facing Cruz.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 why is what happened to Goins mutual exclusive with Pillar? It's not, you know the point I'm making. We have a body of history for both and it screams mediocre to terrible
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 It's not, you know the point I'm making. We have a body of history for both and it screams mediocre to terrible meh maybe, but Pillar is still a better hitter than Goins is ever, and at a premium position.
wk680 Verified Member Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Lol at Tabler thinking Loup was ever facing Cruz. I thought he might since they haven the big left-handed bat of Seager on deck. But Cruz is obviously the bigger threat so seems he is playing it right.
