Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 You'r such a moron sometimes. People try and have coherent conversations here but and you and the rest of the minions you worship come up with stuff as if there isn't any type of history or validity to what's being said. You sound like i'm bashing Tulo for making an error. Travis has never shown any strengths to his defensive game except for turning a throw to first from the bag at second. Stop fantasizing that Travis is a solid defender, he is not. I really don't see why i get grief for stating this? lulz
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Yeah those articles on Donaldson's current status give a pretty depressing picture of his status. Also, not seeing any talk of Tulo's situation. So that talk of them both returning to the lineup this coming week is looking like nonsense. Ben Nicholson Smith duped us all. Just kidding... Gibby and the FO did.
King Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 No problem kid. Prove me wrong otherwise. I'd be pissed off too if some dumb old man came on here and schooled me also. I have made about 2 posts in this thread. I'm not pissed off, and you definitely haven't schooled me on anything.

I saw speculation that they put the rumors out to try to boost advance ticket sales for the upcoming home stand. If true, that is no way to stay in good graces with your fan base....... Of course winning games will be enough to keep the fans placated even if it is with a make-shift lineup.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Silver lining: The Jays are a .500 club since they've had this pathetic line-up and patchwork rotation. Not exactly with an easy schedule either. Most of the games have been on the road. Once the useful players come back this team might actually be pretty good.

wk680 Verified Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Really, where'd you read that? Just unsubstantiated speculation on comments section of an article, so no credible source involved. I wouldn't subscribe to that theory - didn't they already have 2.5M tickets sold before spring training even started?

wk680 Verified Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Yeah, they had plenty sold tickets, never use comments as a source, mate. That's why it is called speculation. Even if coming from reporters or 'pundits', it is often totally baseless regardless of whether the underlying rationale is logical. Speak of attendance, I see official attendance of 15,068 in TB today. How many of those were Jays fans (yeah probably most games there with more than 10k is due to a boost from fans of the visiting team). It would be interesting to see how much difference a better stadium would have.

I thought you had something juicy, comments aren't rationale et al. As for the latter. likely 3-5 thousand Jay fans.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Blue Jays Win!!!!!!!!!! Osuna Matata!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to disappoint you;) The actual comment I saw on the most recent Sportsnet article said: "Gibby said it because they are trying to sell tickets for that home stand." So I don't know if that was based on anything Gibbons actually said (if so likely trying to make a joke) or if the post was just BS. Anyways, once again my apologies.

No worries, Gibbon's did say they hope for both back tomorrow, on Thursday night.¯\_(ツ)_/¯
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Missed most of the game but from what I saw Biagini looked excellent, what was his pitch count at when he got pulled?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Missed most of the game but from what I saw Biagini looked excellent, what was his pitch count at when he got pulled? 52 I believe. You can check it at the bottom of the boxscore on mlb.com
