TBJ12 Verified Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Stroman's BABIP this game... .615 xFIP 1.97 Is Stroman the opposite of a FIP beater though? Is there such a thing? Honest questions.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Is Stroman the opposite of a FIP beater though? Is there such a thing? Honest questions. Slightly yes, because of his elite GB%. FIP xFIP beaters are few and far between. http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=13431&position=P He's pretty flipping good.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Morales steaming hot garbage. No plate discipline whatsoever.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Bautista played that really well /s
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Sheeeeeit... that was a rocket, oppo taco I assumed.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Sheeeeeit... that was a rocket, oppo taco I assumed. Same, luckily it stayed out
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Lol...its the circus
OkBlueJaysLPB Verified Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Jose has been terrible. It's sad to watch. I didn't expect him to be the Jose of old, but I surely didn't expect him to be completely not good: .136 avg , .264 OBP, .182, SLG .446 OPS. Those aren't Jose numbers.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Like we ever had a chance, silly to think otherwise.
BlueJays Verified Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 So, yeah, Stroman is pitching well
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Way too much side to side and not enough down.
OkBlueJaysLPB Verified Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Wow, Stro is VERY hittable tonight.

Low OBP numbers is what's scary here. He's had double the K's as walks, some can be attributed to his lack of bat speed, but his vision is down at the plate. That or he's just over anxious at the plate
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Stroman has to pitch inside to the Red Sox...hasn't been able to do that tonight and has paid for it. Not close to how good he was last time out
TBJ12 Verified Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Gibby always too late to pull his starters.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Raptors and Jays s***ing the bed, at least the Leafs are watchable.

There isn't a resemblance to many of our hitters thus far.
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Imagine if we had signed Bautista for 5/100 last April?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 So, yeah, Stroman is pitching well He "WAS"... getting unlucky, not anymore, he's getting squared up now.

It's noticable onscreen as well. He's not been himself. I don't know what it is, if age is catching up to him, but he's not the same. I almost feel like Martin is going through the same thing. I wonder if our age is beginning to show? I hope not.
OkBlueJaysLPB Verified Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 There isn't a resemblance to many of our hitters thus far. Agreed. I have no idea what's going on. With the exception of Pillar and Tulo, it's like they're a completely different team.
OkBlueJaysLPB Verified Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Loup coming in. Hold onto your bottoms.
