not fair to compare a 85 mph sinker to a 97 mph sinker. Britton is good because his sinker is thrown hard and still dips a ton.

 

Howell's sinker could sink just as much as Britton, but with a lower velocity it increases the hitter's chances of recognizing it and squaring it easily.
