I played 6 super cheap DFS lineups, made some small outright bets, and entered a P5 lineup of: Wise, Burns, Scott, Smith, Hatton. I also made some Euro Tour bets this week.

I am very ready for my long weekend.

Update:

Split a top 5 on Min Woo Lee in this week's Euro Tour event, so not a great week overall there, but I'll take what I can get.

But on the PGA Tour this week, I got the Kokrak win and nailed Top 20 bets on Luke List, Denny McCarthy, and Vincent Whaley.

Good week of golf betting.

Nice! We won't talk about mine.

But we can talk about mine!

I finished tied in first in the P5 with a 535 payout and had Kokrack in the pinata for another 300.

Nice.. Woohoo!

Think I'll go with Gooch, Simpson, Lee, Streb, Kuchar, and Ramey

Smart man.

My P5. CAPTAIN GOOCH, ScottDraw, Corey Connors, Henley, and Louis O

Survivor: Webb Simpson

Pinata - 3 boxes TBD

I'm going to put myself out there this week and hope that it doesn't come back to make me look stupid. With it being championship week on the Euro Tour (to be more aptly renamed DP World Tour next year, btw) and this being the final official event on the PGA schedule of 2021 before an eight-week break, I went a little, um, crazy on golf bets for the week. This is going to look pretty degenerate, but it's important to note that these are almost all small dart throw bets with long odds. If I hit one or two of them, I'll be laughing.

The Each Way (EW) bets below place two different bets on the same golfer; one for the win and one that pays out 1/4 of the odds for finishing top 5.

Let's start with the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai:

Bernd Wiesberger EW (23-1)

Patrick Reed EW (31-1)

Min Woo Lee EW (31-1)

Dean Burmester EW (51-1)

Lucas Herbert EW (56-1)

Sean Crocker EW (56-1)

Danny Willett EW (56-1)

Richard Bland EW (76-1)

Guido Migliozzi EW (111-1)

Jason Scrivener EW (151-1)

Now on to the PGA bets:

Mackenzie Hughes Top 20 (4-1)

Corey Conners Top 10 (4-1)

Justin Rose Top 10 (7-1)

Andrew Novak Top 20 (9-1)

Corey Conners Win (26-1)

Adam Scott EW (41-1)

Mackenzie Hughes EW (67-1)

Henrik Norlander EW (81-1)

Patrick Rodgers EW (81-1)

Brendan Steele EW (126-1)

My Pick 5 entry:

Mackenzie Hughes

Cameron Smith

Webb Simpson

Joel Dahmen

Mito Pereira

And finally, my DFS roster:

Cameron Smith

Mackenzie Hughes

Joel Dahmen

Mito Pereira

Troy Merritt

Andrew Novak

With all the time I put into the research and money I invested in this week, I might have to quit golf betting if I don't come out ahead, lol. I'm playing with house money after a great week last week, though. Worth it.

It feels like this weekend is either going to be very good or painstakingly disappointing for me on the betting front.

I'm currently cashing, but 3 players missed the cut. It's a disappointing one for me.

Ah man, sorry to hear that. I know the feeling when your team kills it through the first 2 rounds but you lose a couple guys to the cut. Happens to me all too often. Hopefully you can hang on to at least recoup your money.

It proved to be a tough week to get everyone through. I had 6 other rinky-dink lineups and they all lost at least one golfer, but the lineup I posted did have everyone make it through, so we'll see how she goes.

Also, currently 4th in the P5 (top 4 get paid) and only 7 out of 82 entries survived the cut!

Thanks, mang!

JFL lost Oostie to a WD, sadly. But he's currently second in the P4 bonus, just 1 stroke back.

Sucks about the lack of PGA golf for the next little while. At least there will be some late-night World Tour golf over the next few weeks to check out as they begin their new season in South Africa.

So is it no longer the Euro tour and renamed World Tour? I watched some of that early in the AM. Lots of good players still.

Yessir, it's officially changing to (DP) World Tour as soon as the new season starts next week.

Just to comment on the actual name change, it does make a lot of sense. They've been playing events in Africa and the Middle East for years now, so it's about time.

As for the championship this week, agreed that the leaderboard is s***-littered with good players. Rory, Morikawa, Sergio, and Lowry are right there. Should be some great golf this weekend and I'm very much looking forward to it. Looks like I'll be pulling for Burmester.

I finished 2nd in the P5 and won $425, my DFS lineup finished 22nd and yielded $50, and I had two different bets on Hughes that paid out for his top 5 finish, which netted me $140.

I had many other close calls but fell short.

All in all, good weekend.
