I will admit, golf has got more exciting now with the talent on tour. And hoping Tiger Woods could make some sort of a comeback.

Woods is done. It's too bad as he had every chance in the world to break Nicklaus' major wins record.

Yup. Once he stopped plowing a hottie in every town his game fell apart. He also started getting more frequent and significant injuries. The infidelity was keeping him in good shape.

Tiger makes his comeback after 16 months off from back surgery... hope he does really well moving forward. It's going to be tough as he's hosting the tourney this weekend to boot. Tees off at noon.

Canadian Adam Hadwin is -13 through 17 on the day... unreal.

 

Par'd the 18th, shot a 59!!!

Hadwin 4 strokes in the lead with 9 to play at Valspar.

 

About time for a Cdn lighting up the PGA tour.

 

Nice little shot of him having the Blue Jays yardage card. Nice win for him.

Who is this Kang kid... -7 yesterday and he missed 2 and a half footer to shoot 8 under, now today he shoots 9 under, lol. He has a ridiculous lead.

Anyone had their clubs fitted when they bought them and can tell me if it's really worth it?

 

I'm 6'6" so it makes common sense that the same set of clubs that someone 5''10" would buy would obviously play differently between the two of us, just want to know if anyone has experience with that kind of thing

My current set of irons. Needed to reduce the backspin, i was landing 20 feet on the green and spinning the ball right back off. Ping set up a new set of irons so the ball releases on impact.

 

I expect you know, the better clubs in your area have a demo day every year, where the club manufacturer's all come and set up on the range. You can try different clubs and they can fit you on the spot if you want (takes about 20 minutes)

It was today actually, that's why I asked.

 

I hit the new Callaway Epic driver, Wilson, Titliest, Cobra, Mizuno and Ping. Unfortunately the Taylor Made rep missed his flight and didnt show so missed out on that which was unfortunate.

 

The Callaway epic was the best driver for me, but all of them performed well once the guys were able to adjust the weights and shafts to suit my swing. The new Titleist was a very close 2nd.

 

For irons, I really liked the Wilson C200 and D200 sets but again, all of them performed well. A few free tips and Trackman swings to identify easy fixes on small things also. I'm a pretty bad golfer so it was worth it for that alone.

 

The big thing I found out is that I need a stiff flex shafts. My current driver and woods have way more flex because they're bottom dollar clubs. Even hitting the Callaway Epic with more flex and didn't get near the results of a stiff.

 

Side note, there was a 14 year old kid next to me hitting the same Callaway driver at the same time, and he was killing it everytime. After a few minutes a crowd was gathered to watch him 1 hop the end screen of the driving range with every hit. And the end screen is about 270 yards, not bad for 14
