eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Nice choke job there. Missed an opportunity. Miller for 3 until the 8th now.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Stop f***ing lunging at soft s*** !! Holy f***.
Pinkfloid Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 f***, they've been pitching away to him this entire series. Can he not swing at either of those first two strikes and go the other way? Make a f***ing adjustment!
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Pretty clear who the real stars and leaders of this team are, and Bautista isn't one. Sorry, casuals.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Author Posted October 19, 2016 Leafs suck Rebuilding will do that
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 73. Really. Thought it would be lower.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I need a stats guy to do this, but I'm guessing the # of breaking balls away this series thrown to the Jays is over 40%. How a major league team can't adjust to this is beyond me
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 f***, they've been pitching away to him this entire series. Can he not swing at either of those first two strokes and go the other way? Make a f***ing adjustment! They've been failing in almost the same way for nearly the whole series. Ump kind of gifted that second strike though.
Rajais Mitten Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Why are you blaming the ump. Those were strikes? I dunno I'm just angry at everyone!
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 What were the odds he would stay away after he got that 2 strike call on Edwin? About 100%. So we do what we too often do. Roll over on the next pitch and pull it to the left side and hit into DP.

They try and pull everything and leads into ground balls.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Curious to see if Shapiro replaces Bats, Edwin, and Saunders with more swing for the fences guys, He won't.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Author Posted October 19, 2016 Bautista can eat a dick. Why just one?
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Ump changed that inning. Ball 4 turns into strike 2. Also Eddie how could you not crush that pitch. He hasn't thrown a fastball with 2 strikes often tonight. Had to know that was off speed coming your way.

How a major league team can't adjust to this is beyond me JD, Eddy, Carrera, even Saunders have adjusted, it's the rest of the plugs that can't/won't.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 He won't. Hes gonna get some type of power bat for sure.

Don Encartista Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Guess what guys? Miller might not quite have it tonight. Dude is DUE for a miserable inning or two. School of Due.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 People keep mentioning Brandon Moss as a replacement. Strikeout machine and prone to massive slumps. Right up our alley!

bowld Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I really thought after yesterday's win that we were going to come back and shock the world..what an idiot
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Not trolling. Honest question, how many years will our playoff drought be after this year? 4 years perhaps?

How a major league team can't adjust to this is beyond me I had this discussion with a friend the other night. He was beside himself that the Jays didn't adjust against Kluber...cut down their swings, take him the other way, etc. I simply said if it was that easy, Kluber wouldn't be winning Cy Young awards and recognized as one of the best pitchers in baseball. That was the end of our discussion.
