FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Is it going to be 90 wins, maybe 95 wins? Somewhere between 13-7 to 18-2. f*** these guys gotta pull up their socks and get at it.
ChrisS Verified Member Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 89 for 1st WC, 88 for 2nd WC, 91 for division If I had to guess. At this point I dont care where we finish, all I want is playoff baseball, Id be happy with a wildcard game. If we can go .500 the last 22 games we should get there. The Yankees would need to go 13-9. Orioles and Tigers 12-10. The Yankees have 7 left vs Boston, 3 vs the Dodgers and 3 vs Baltimore. On paper we have a slight advantage schedule wise. If we can somehow win tomorrow and Sunday, have a good series against Tampa and a good road trip we could still win the division.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Whats the point, the way they are getting shelled right now, they might end up .500 at the end of the year. It all started with the six man rotation garbage. Happ and Estrada haven't been the same since. Really messed them up.

This 6 man rotation nonsense should have never happened. Those two look like different pitchers.. Estrada is hurt but with Happ I have no idea. I hope he turns this around tomorrow.

I think it's a combination of things but realistically regression to the mean is probably the main factor that no one wants to admit but would be saying if they were on any other team... Did you honestly expect Happ to be a 2.96 ERA CY Young candidate all season? Estrada hasn't been the same since his DL stint. Pitching has carried this team that no one expected and it would be a mute point if the offense lived up to its potential.

Cyborg Verified Member Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 If every team has the same talent and wins 50% of their games we have a 64.2% chance of making playoffs. .500 could still get us there.

I am honestly close to the point where I will take a wild card game. Though my heart rate will be really high in that game. Jays please start playing better and win the division

CBlake Verified Member Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 I just dread a wild card game, only because I am not sure my heart could take it. Now if you really wanted to push it, imagine having to play a tiebreaker on the Monday for the second wild card. In truth this team realistically could be 5 wins better than what they are now but that's a whole bunch of what, should, could have.
