We are facing one of Boston's worst pitchers, Blue Jays are adopting a "try harder" attitude..... this is a recipe for disaster.

Smoak at 1st.

Martin behind the plate

peg leg in right field.....

I'd rather have pegleg than slothman in RF.

You know, I wasn't really expecting to win yesterdays game, (Estrada has been s***) but it still hurt harder than being dumped on prom night.

Facing Rodriguez and Buchholz at home with our best SP going are games we should win. So we'll probably lose.

I hope the jays can bring some heart to this game because they didn't show much yesterdays game.

absolutely brutal... worst game I have seen the jays play in a long time. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WENT RIGHT.

time for the jays to start moving forward if they want to keep sept interesting.

Why is Shi holding an umbrella lol

it started to rain when they were opening the roof... and then they had to reverse all engines and get it closed up again. lol

Side note: why does the roof have to be opened at all, whether it is a nice day out or not? Is there any real benefit from a fan standpoint? Or a baseball standpoint for that matter to be playing with the sun in your eyes despite being on concrete and fake grass?

Just never made sense to me. I've only been to games with the roof closed and there was never an issue from a fan standpoint.

during the summer it can be like one enormous sauna with the roof closed and baseball is a game that is played outside.

They should have signed DeRosa again just for the team only meeting. Wasn't he a 1.0 WAR motivator? Jays need that right now.

Agreed.

But "trying harder" is only going to make them worse. We have the benefit of facing a crappy lefty today though.

I see you are on board with the "try hard" approach.
