For a good defensive outfielder with speed, Upton sure doesn't seem to be giving 100% all the time. He just casually jogs over to the ball a lot.

 

Speedy black guys don't have the hustle and grit that the white guys with high socks possess.

Why Travis batting 8th? Also disappointing to see Thole. Sure he has a hit but looks like he can't get Stroman on the same page especially early in the game. Plus Martin has been hot. Can't we give him a break when Dickey pitches and then when Navarro gets here.

Thole is an awful game caller for Stroman. Every time he catches him the results suck and you can see it in the pitch selection/location.

Little league offense + bad pitch selection + some bad pitches = Dickey has to be great tomorrow or we would have lost 2 straight series to the worst teams in the AL....at the end of August lol

A max of 3-3 against the Angels and Twins would be quite disappointing.

This was our chance to have a nice 5-1 homestand. Those 2 blown games in Cleveland sting as well. We should probably have a 4 or 5 game lead in the division right now. Hopefully they are prepared to dial it up against better competition. September is an absolute gauntlet.

yeah Gibby really played with fire here and got burned. Stroman is too fragile right now to have that shitbag calling games for him.
