glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Going to be tough scoring runs against Pat Dean Ervin Santana will probably throw a shutout on Saturday with the way the bats are going.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Just bad luck tonight.. and Mike Trout. If that ball doesn't hit Happ's foot, the Angels don't have that big inning. Really should've hit more.. we need Travis back ASAP!
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 He's going 8 scoreless And you're an idiot. Pat Dean hasn' thrown more than 50 pitches in over a month.. and wasn't even supposed to start, but Santiago got hurt.. he's basically a long reliever. And FYI, they're bringing former Blue Jay Andrew Albers as well because Berrios and Duffey suck..
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 So we get the Twins while the sox get the streaking Royals and the Orioles get the pesky Yanks? I'm totally fine with this
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Donaldson back in January. Thank god the starting pitching hasn't been average. Reigning American League MVP Josh Donaldson believes that if the team’s starting pitching is simply average, the bats that led MLB with a whopping 891 runs last season can take care of the rest. “This is the beautiful thing about our team. To be a starting pitcher, you don’t have to be a stud to go out there and get wins,” Donaldson said in an interview with MLB Network Radio. “You just have to be good. Just be average. Be the average guy. If you go out there and produce more than that, great.”
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Not worried. All teams go through the doldrums. Jays will catch fire.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Looks promising on paper.... Twins are hitting well... pitching, not so much. Lets win the series.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 A couple of stinkers in a row but thats baseball... Every team goes through stretches. Lets get the W tomorrow
FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 To win the world series you have to put it all together. This group can only do that once in awhile. We just need a run where pitching and hitting run well for a week or two, hopefully in October.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 I missed something Why didn't Saunders pinch hit for Barney with the bases loaded?
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 A couple of stinkers in a row but thats baseball... Every team goes through stretches. Lets get the W tomorrow This is a rational post. This doesn't belong in this cesspool. Delete this post please.

Boston just hit the same wall the last two games (and quite a bit recently.. most of their offense has only been Betts, Ortiz and Pedroia.. most of the other regulars are struggling.)

We have a lot of talent. I'm confident if we can stay healthy we will get all cylinders working and make that run. Its pretty amazing that after so many game 3 teams are within 1 game of each other. Crazy. Its there for the taking Jays.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 That would be wonderful Spanky. Indeed, Jonn.
SSTP Verified Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 So sick to lose this game vs Weaver esp when we have Happ going..

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 So sick to lose this game vs Weaver esp when we have Happ going.. Tell that to the Red Sox and Orioles, who also have lost to this soft-tossing Weaver as well this season.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 I wonder how many would've thought that we would only win one game, and that game being the one Dickey pitched. lol Attaboy RA.
puphood Verified Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 So apparently we still need left handed relief........

I remember. I turned the gm off because I thought it was over. KC caught some magic @ the right time. Look at what Alcides did against us in the LO spot. Full on mirage.

Look at what Alcides did against us in the LO spot. Full on mirage. Maybe our line-up 6 through 9 should have just did what o2 and Gruber think, and aim there hits, like Pete Rose and Rod Carew did, lol. This exchange between these two meatheads is hilarious. http://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/6686-GDT-(2-of-3)-Angels-v-Blue-Jays-Shoemaker-v-Estrada/page16 Un-f***ing-believable, the game is just that easy, lol. We need more Ichiro's and Altuve's hitting in the back of our order, apparently. Simple... aim our hits, only than, would we be The True Cardinals! Edited August 26, 2016 by Spanky99
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 So apparently we still need left handed relief........ Nah, just use your best guys and trust them to get outs regardless of who they are facing. Unfortunately, the manager doesn't realize that Biagini is one of his best guys, and thinks Benoit is one of them, so it's going to hurt the team at some point.
