don't blame the defense for lack of offense. Blame hitters for not adjusting. some of the best hitters ever to play the game would laugh at the modern defense. Rod Carew and Peter Rose would almost never make an out if you gave them half the field to aim at.

 

It's frustrating to watch some of the hitters now not being able to wait on a pitch and hit it the other way.

in today's games the s***** 8 and 9 guys can't even lay down a sac bunt.

 

Teams over shift for every hitter because players are not expected to go the other way. 4 or 5 guys on the team should be spraying the ball all over the field.

 

we have guys on our team that refuse to go the other way even if they never see a pitch on the inner half and the opposite side of the infield is empty.

 

Guys like Donaldson, Ed, Jose should be pulling the ball until they get 2 strikes and those guys have very good discipline.

I don't give a s*** about what shoe size modern players have. a good lineup has 3 and if you are lucky 4 guys that are the main run producers- The rest of the lineup has one job and that is not to make a f***ing out.

 

you can argue bigger dicks on the modern players all you like but the fact remains that at least 5 guys on the team just need to NOT make outs.
