Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 How the f*** can you comment on something you have never seen or experienced? Sit the f*** down kid. Oh s*** King! You got told!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Well it sure f***ing seems to me that the overall art of the outfield arm is nowhere near what it was in the 80's and 90's. It's not just me that is saying this, it's all the commentators and former players. I guess they're all f***ed like me. Likely... break out of that thought process, it'll do you better.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 I will puke if Gibbons brings in Benoit here Biagini is clearly superior to Benoit, but Benoit is older therefore brings the type of veteran intangibles that is better suited for late inning relief.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 You mean commentators like Tabby? He is f***ed. For sure. Example #1... and so on...

Oh Canada Verified Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Damn this is some bad baseball by the Angels!! What was Trout thinking??
el duque Verified Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Mental mistake by Trout, he is not perfect

I've watched ball since 79 and have watched ballgames on the MLB Classic Network, they're nowhere near as talented as the players of today... both pitchers and ballplayers. They were great in there era, that's it.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 You're talking out of your ass and you got called out. Sit the f*** down.
King Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Like who? Like he knows. He's talking out of his ass again.

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Like who? Are you kidding me? Do you know how stupid you sound asking for individual names? Do you actually believe everybody in this field is an idiot? This is just insane.

Nabru Verified Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Mr. Unclutch comes through in the unclutch again.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Like he knows. He's talking out of his ass again. You guys are intelligent in a lot of ways, i'll give you that, but at the same time you're so narrow minded and numbers driven that it has become comical.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Mr. Unclutch comes through in the unclutch again. Just need to get him to 25 homeruns. The qualifying dream lives.

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Mr. Unclutch comes through in the unclutch again. Just happy to see Saunders hit a ball hard. Any run is a good run.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 LOL.. I guess we should just stop watching games all together. It's not just arm strength, it's the accuracy. Honestly I would have guessed the same thing...I remember Ellis Valentine having the biggest arm I've ever seen. Then looking at the stats he had 10 errors as a RF in one season. We just didn't see every game...just the highlights of many non-Jays games (although I watched the Expos games in French). In general everyone is throwing harder today than 30 years ago...and I'm guessing the accuracy hasn't taken a hit.

Try again..
