Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Smoak is just not very good. Long swing and not overly athletic. Upton's just had some terrible habits and what appears to be almost no proper coaching over the last few years. I'm confident he can turn it around. Smoak is a lost cause tho. Upton Jr is far from hopeless. Hes just pressing. Smoak is what he is.

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Travis has been amazing since his horrible two error game. Jays best player since
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 thank god for travis saving the halladay trade
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Can you read? I said I'm confident Upton can turn it around It's Jonn. What do you think?
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 That Saunders slide saved our asses there. Shocked MLB didn't f*** us over there.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Can't believe we extended Smoak. I bet anything the intention was to replace EE next year. But now probably rethinking that. nothing like rewarding mediocrity
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 If this team ever trades Travis I might cry. No reason to even consider it.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Travis - not bad for a non prospect.
Thaddeus Malice Verified Member Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 If this team ever trades Travis I might cry. Why on earth would we trade the second best 2B in baseball?
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Yup, I think he needs to time his legkick and track the ball, sometimes his bat literally misses the ball but you're right great bat speed Like i said before, it sure looks like Upton is using a 34.5'' or 35'' bat. If so, he needs to cut back half inch. It's worked for Martin.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Can you read? I said I'm confident Upton can turn it around I was reiterating what you said... Relax dude

It's worked for Martin. he needs to just put the ball in play and stop trying to hit it 500ft... he'll be fine once he relaxes. he might need to walk into one to get there though
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 It's Jonn. What do you think? You guys are just looking for a fight.
Seanie Verified Member Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Travis is carrying this team lately
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Why on earth would we trade the second best 2B in baseball? Because that Bob McCown guy said it's a good idea.
Governator Community Moderator Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Because that Bob McCown guy said it's a good idea. I listened to that, I just wanted to smack him.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Because that Bob McCown guy said it's a good idea. He also suggested platooning him with Goins. No reason to watch that program unless he's interviewing a worthwhile guest and you just live with him for 20 minutes.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 That Saunders slide saved our asses there. Shocked MLB didn't f*** us over there. He slid straight into home plate, why do you keep insisting he did something miraculous? It's the catcher's fault for not popping off the plate quick enough.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 the shot of Gibbons sitting there with his mouth hanging open and the deer in the headlights looks was priceless. great inning from Grilli
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Because that Bob McCown guy said it's a good idea. He never said that lol he literally said "I'm not saying you trade him, but you'd have to include him in any talks for a Chris Sale". That was the week of the deadline lol he's not that dumb
