rspencer38 Verified Member Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 Hey everyone, I'm taking in the Tragically Hip concert on friday Aug 12th in Toronto and would absolutely love to take in the game against the Astros on the 13th. Tickets seem all but sold-out and stubhub seems to charge crazy rates. Anyone willing to sell a couple tickets for the Aug 13th game? Anyone know where to buy tickets that isn't stubhub?
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 Wait until game day, then buy off stubhub and download the tickets to your phone.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 kijiji craigslist https://www.reddit.com/r/jaystickets this message board all can contain scams though, your only protection is stubhub and as Stangstag said, buy off stubhub on gameday. I don't think you can go in with your phone though, so you will have to be near a FedEx store or whatever can print your tix.

I'm not sure if i'll be able to get access to a printer as i'm travelling. Hotel might have a printer.

You can try the UPS store which is minutes away https://www.google.ca/maps/place/The+UPS+Store/@43.6420324,-79.391232,17z/data=!4m12!1m6!3m5!1s0x882b34d9d288538d:0xca17d99a86f732f3!2sThe+UPS+Store!8m2!3d43.6430018!4d-79.3921195!3m4!1s0x882b34d9d288538d:0xca17d99a86f732f3!8m2!3d43.6430018!4d-79.3921195
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 Buy your tickets on gameday. Prices will drop big time in comparison to what they are now. Remember the dome holds close to 45-50K, so it's not that difficult to get in for below face value, trust me. Just remember you'll have to print the tickets somewhere, as the Blue Jays aren't like other MLB teams where you can scan your ticket from your phone.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 Kijijji can also be a good place as well to get tickets last minute, but you're dealing with the seller directly and there is no guarantee/fan protection like StubHub offers. If you do buy off someone from Kijijji, make sure they are hard copy tickets, not electronic. Scalpers in front of the Rogers Centre are pricks, and won't budge in lowering their price before the game, unless you go 2-3 innings after and they are desperate to unload them. Another option is check the Blue Jays site in the morning, as new tickets are always rereleased from employees, players, etc. Again, you should be fine seeing the game on the 13th and you won't have to pay more than face value.

Governator Community Moderator Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 I bought from scalpers last time, would never do again. It was literally a last second decision to go to the game. We were going to a concert that night and just happened to be parked there right at 1PM game time so we headed over. Highly overpaid for the tickets and wouldn't do it again. I almost bought off stubhub before it popped a message that I couldn't use my phone and had to print them so I felt forced. Was able to knock their price down a bit though.
