That would not suprise me at all. All country I hear now sounds exactly the same. I like a song or two every once inawhile.

 

Its kind of like me with most bands though. Very rarely do I like most songs on an album. I don't understand the need to put so many songs on them.

 

Yeah, it's really weird. My buddy is a blues/rock guy that sorta fell in to this (and they're doing well enough that he may be able to quit his job and play music full time, so I don't blame him at all), but I can't believe they don't have ANY variation. Same writers, same players across dozens of bands. I just don't get how that's a thing outside of like, boybands.

 

My band is considering not doing albums at all, just releasing songs one at a time as they're done going forward (though, we'll have 11 in the first pack of songs, just 'cause we had that many before we got into the studio...) I think it makes more sense as a model in this day and age.
