Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 Philly rewarded with a Ceaser Hernandez lazy play.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 WTF is Pillar supposed to do? He deliberately tried to slow his momentum to keep himself on the bag and NOT f*** up the 2BM.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 Its time for them to overhaul that rule completely or clarify. Basically say you can't make any contact with the fielder because that's ********.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 holy f*** I mean, I get the point of the rule, but he stayed in the baseline, and ended up on the bag. The fielder was in a poor position. Why is that Pillar's fault?
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2016 Author Posted June 17, 2016 WTF did Pillar even do? Even within the new rules..
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 Lets Go Blue Jays!!!!!!!!! As usual f*** MLB and their biased replay system
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 These 2nd baseman are aloud to stand infront of the bag?
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 I think its because he never touched the base with his slide before he did that hip check thing while trying to avoid him.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 I'm not sure what the criteria is anymore for a clean slide....he didn't overslide, didn't go out of the basepath, is it because he hit him???
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 Barry Davis isn't to pleased. What a disgrace. This rule has to change. #BlueJays You said it Barry
geebaan Verified Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 No consistency We are always getting shafted by replay
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2016 Author Posted June 17, 2016 The fielder doesn't even clear the bag, and it's the runner's fault !!
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 WTF did Pillar even do? Even within the new rules.. I bet the idiots say cause Pillar hit the 2B foot it's illegal even though he stepped in front of the dang bag
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 Joe Siddal losing his mind over the out call on Pillar. Can't blame him.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 Just go on the outside of the bag for now on. I'm so tired of this ********. Absolutely lazy fielding and the fielder put his foot in the base line.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 That is completely f***ing unacceptable.
bowld Verified Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 Before long football will be 2 hand touch and MLB wont be allowed to slide at all. So f***ing lame
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 Honestly f***ing gross that they overturned that. Now players have incentive to try and "act" like they got hit hard. Baseball is turning into soccer now.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 I hope they f***ing take this rule out asap. I don't care who broke his leg, what the f*** was wrong with the old rules?? The catcher rule OK I kind of get, people used to take out catchers like trains, but 99% of the slides into 2B have no where near the same force as taking out the catcher.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 Like....the criteria for a dirty slide is so incredibly arbitrary.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 Chase Utley f***ed the game up. f*** him.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 LOL just saw the replay.. are you kidding me
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2016 Author Posted June 17, 2016 The basic fabric of the game is being destroyed.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 Good call by the umps IMO. Shut the f*** up
