They were so excited after the first K to Bautista to start the game, a whole group of them. The ESPN broadcast was showing them lots. Not anymore.

 

Ya. The GS kinda sealed that. I'm not happy to see but im happy to see it. Soon time to rest anyone aching that they can.

Well, the kid had a rough debut. But, his first MLB batter faced was Jose Bautista, and he K'd him. Also, if he's feeling down about having a poor debut, he just needs to remember that JP Arencibia had an excellent debut.

If that isn't the case, its pretty ridiculous to pull him that early. Is Saunders this fragile that you don't want to risk playing him for 2-3 more innings?

No, blowout and he's banged up. But if he was injured he wouldn't be in left to start the game, let alone be in the lineup

I think it's a combination of that and being up 9-0. If it were 1-0, he'd probably still be in the game. That's the sense I'm getting, anyway.
