nextyear Verified Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 It is good that Tulowitzki has decided to be more aggressive.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 I'm sorry but if i'm a player where the shift is being used against me, i'm changing my approach with two strikes on me (unless the count is full) and shortening up to massage a ground ball the other way. I never understood why players are so stubborn to change. Hell if I was Ortiz I would lay down bunts with the shift until they stopped playing the exaggerated shift.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Okay but you make it sound easy It's not that easy, but it's doable if the pitch is anywhere but the inner half. Even the attempt if unsuccessful would still make opposing managers second the shift against you. The beauty of it is that the ball doesn't necessarily have to be hit that hard.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Stroman's contact-and-pray approach is freakin me out.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Stroman's contact-and-pray approach is freakin me out. Maybe he wants to keep his pitch counts down to help with his inning counts this year lol
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Maybe he wants to keep his pitch counts down to help with his inning counts this year lol Maybe he should keep his baserunner counts down to help with the team's win count.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 I've missed the last few games, but how long has Bautista been in that 1 spot? What a beautiful sight.

Hell if I was Ortiz I would lay down bunts with the shift until they stopped playing the exaggerated shift. I've seen Ortiz shorten up many times with nobody on and with an 0-2,1-2 type counts and inside out ground balls to third for gimme hits. He'll never do it with runners on though, unless accidental.
Floortom Verified Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 It's the end of May and Russel Martin has 1 extra base hit on the year

West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Noah has 10K's through 6 innings right now, so filthy.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 22, 2016 Author Posted May 22, 2016 The double play master...does Bautista lead baseball in GIDPs?
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Jays letting Hughes work towards a quality start. Same as with Pat "Who?" Dean yesterday. Basically asking for another heartbreaker.

West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Holy pitching to contact Batman.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Mixing in a slow curve every once in a while would be nice.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 The double play master...does Bautista lead baseball in GIDPs? I don't know how you can complain about that LTBF. He hit that ball hard on the button. Just the wrong place. BABIP.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 I am going to stop being a kill joy. Feels like everything I've posted so far has been a bummer.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Stroman getting incredibly lucky today
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Two offspeed pitches in a row!!!! I must be dreaming
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 How is Sanchez pitching like the Stroman we want and Stroman pitching like the Sanchez we hate

BABIP. Not that one specifically, but it seems like Bautista has hit into 15 DPs this year with 2 men on.
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 What is this f***ing garbage ump?
