I don't think it should be a platoon, it should be Saunders unless he needs the day off...

 

I don't see any reason not to bat Pillar at leadoff against lefties given the season he's having.

So has the Pillar/Saunders leadoff platoon that many here were proposing in the off-season been enacted?

 

Pillar was hitting to good where he was he needed to be moved so he stops hitting , at least i think this is how Gibbons does it.

I can't believe I am watching two knuckle ball pitchers right now. Got the Red Sox game up and Jays, gross.

 

We need to find an Eephus specialist, which I can only imagine is the new market inefficiency...

there were some Profar trade possibilities done by BP Texas and the return was like #3 starters and such. I think he's absolutely worth it...but it doesn't appear it would be marginal value.

His wrc+ against lefties is 111 with 0 walks on the season. Not sure that's a glowing endorsement for the leadoff spot against lefties.

You know better than to put weight in a sample like that.

Even if we use Profar as our backup catcher, it's got to be an improvement, right?
