RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Hutch is problems are exactly the same. Walks homerun crappy changeup that isn't slow enough
nmrch Verified Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Jesse Chavez has so far faced 13 RHB, struck out 7 and gave up 1 single and nothing else. His stuff doesn't work against lefties but he's borderline unhittable if you're RHB, as good as any of the elite right handed relievers in baseball.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Chavez and Floyd out of the bullpen looks elite
nmrch Verified Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Chavez and Floyd out of the bullpen looks elite If you use them properly yeah the Jays have the makings of a top 5 bullpen. Chavez should be a high leverage ROOGY and Floyd looks like a 7th inning guy.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Eickhoff 3IP, 4 K's Curveball is plus plus plus plus
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 A Loup/Chavez platoon could be pretty lethal in the playoffs in the 6th or 7th inning

el duque Verified Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 A Loup/Chavez platoon could be pretty lethal in the playoffs in the 6th or 7th inning I have bad luck with Loup, every time I've seen him is a blown save
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Bautista knew he missed a hanger on that one.
nmrch Verified Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 I know we have a 4 run lead but i'd rather burn another reliever than use Chavez against lefty
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 A Loup/Chavez platoon could be pretty lethal in the playoffs in the 6th or 7th inning Long ball's hurting Chavex
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 I know we have a 4 run lead but i'd rather burn another reliever than use Chavez against lefty Make that 3
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Good call Gibby, that's actually a great BP decision, regardless of result.
nmrch Verified Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Long ball's hurting Chavex he shouldn't be facing lefties, his stuff is garbage against them for the same reason it works so well against RHB
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 So I guess Chavez is a strict ROOGY going forward?
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Yeah can't leave anything to change. Cecil Storen and Osuna are all rested.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Yeah Chavez has a problem with giving up dingers. Faak.
nmrch Verified Member Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Good call Gibby, that's actually a great BP decision, regardless of result. He shouldn't have let Chavez face Coghlan to begin with. ROOGY only right now
