They mostly just throw splitters when they need to strike someone out, rarely do they throw a fastball on the corner or anything other than a splitter.

I'm curious why his velocity is so weak this start? He looks like he's really getting tired out there right now as well.

Halladay was very wild, prior to his success.

Yep Sanchez is tired as f*** right now. The velocity has also dipped to 92-94 from the 3rd inning onward.

That 2 seamer trying to catch the inside corner is teh riskiest pitch a RHP can throw to a LHB, not a great selection on a night when Sanchez doesn't have perfect command. Should have been a CB or a CU

Hate that pitch call by Martin. He called the comeback 2 seamer twice in a row.

 

Yep that's all Martin, but Sanchez looks way off compared to his last start. His velocity is down and control is much worse.
