the one on the left looks like an old glove - is that him on the right too? if so then it is for sure a new glove.

The one on the right has different shoes as well. Kinda looks like Goins.

He was fit last year. I don't have the link but there was a pic a few years ago with Stroman, Sanchez and a hot chick at the beach and he had good abs.

If it's the picture I'm thinking of, we have very different definitions of hot. Maybe if she gained 15-20 Lbs. lol

Abs are a direct product of low body fat %

Do you have eyes man? Not wearing the same clothes at all, not even the same skin tone. The guy on the right is Goins.

I'm not sure abs are a good thing for a pitcher. It always seems like the leanest pitchers are more prone to injury, maybe a bit of fat is a good thing for durability.

Yeah I don't think it really matters. Whatever body keeps them from getting injured is fine by me

I wish there were reports that Bello spent all offseason working his tail off with some defensive wizard to improve his defense at 1st - and in LF. It's hard to fathom how much more valuable Bello would be to the Jays if he was passable in LF. I'm really interested to follow Bello and Pillar this year. Both are massive question marks and keys to the Jays overall success if you ask me.

You can't really improve your speed and range at Cola's age. At this point he is what he is.

I'm not sure so much about fat necessarily as opposed to bulk that doesn't affect their pitching motion. I agree that it seems the skinny guys either tend to get injured more, or lose velocity faster.

point taken - so it appears he's still using that old s***** glove.

Makes note to go see eye doctors.

Nothing wrong with that as long as it doesn't affect his defense.

Josh Johnson was a chubster.

Pedro Martinez was tiny as f*** and had one of the best careers ever. There probably isn't a pattern.

Well yeah. You don't gain 20 pounds in a few months without it being 90% lard.

The good type of lard though because kettle bells

Marco Estrada has been dealing with some minor back tightness. He'll be eased into his spring work. Blue Jays aren't concerned.
