Well since I am the "Douche" in this whole conversation, I guess I should respond.

 

1. This is a Dynasty league, not a redraft. We are not, nor were we at the time of the deal at the trade deadline. I am looking to continue building sustainable winning playoff teams. I believe that when trading with guys in a Dynasty league, you should build solid long term trade relationships and not act like a used car salesman who "suckered" a customer in a one time deal, for that customer to never return again.

 

2. I can't really blame Connor's son for the text, it was a private text between him and his dad. Connor sharing his son's text with the whole board.. Not sure if his son knew that was going to happen.

 

3.Before the Carlson | Darvish trade, I was poking around about Cobb. I never once asked about Darvish. Connor's son initiated the Darvish for Carlson proposal. If Darvish is the man, and I am initially asking about Cobb, why was he including Darvish in a first offer..?

 

Regardless, I have faith in the Danger Co analytics department. This is not the first time, nor will it be the last time I have heard criticism or out right laughter about a trade I have made, only to have my side of the trade emerge as the more solid piece/s six months to a year down the road.

 

Here are two sample articles out of an abundance of due diligence I normally do before making trades with players like those.
