I don’t know any of the candidates more then one or two posts via this board or any other medium.

 

My only input is I would rather have someone who will be, and stays active vs just filling the spot with a warm body who won’t give much attention.

We're leaning toward having a dispersal draft for new owners, but any owner who wants to participate in the dispersal will likely be able to.

Update on new owners:

 

FantasyNewb and DL73 (from BBDL) are willing to join. So we have two spots left to fill before we can more forward. If anyone knows someone, please reach out.

OK folks, update on what's happening:

 

- Connorp is going to keep his team.

- Connorp Jr. is going to get Terminator's team. Oneil Cruz, Alek Thomas, and Shane Baz will be removed from the team and added to the dispersal.

- My team will also be added to the dispersal. The idea is that my assets + Cruz/Thomas/Baz gets a lot of the way towards the value of Terminator's assets.

- FantasyNewb and DL73 will take on the two remaining empty slots and participate in the dispersal.

- Other owners will have an opportunity to participate in the dispersal as well. They'll probably have a week or so to declare, but we'll confirm that later.

- I'm going to be dropping the assets of participating teams in the very near future. All adds/drops will be locked at that point until the completion of the dispersal draft.

Whens the MILB draft?

 

3.1 Draft Time and Process

 

The Annual New Player Draft (NPD) will begin at 9AM on the first Sunday of February every year. It will consist of 6 rounds. Players are officially selected only when they have been added in Fantrax. You will have a 12 hour window to make your pick. If your window expires, the team following you will have their window start and they can pick. You can make your missed pick at any time. An onwer's next window is reduced by 50% for every missed window in a given draft.

I can see him treating the team like a redraft with no thought to the future. Then abandoning the team when it starts to become anything but a contender. Excuse will be, “too busy with school”. I would like to be proved wrong though.

Wouldn’t let him bro. Don’t have a lot of dad rules but they’re: don’t miss bb practice ever, don’t ever miss work (if he ever works lol), don’t get bad grades, don’t get in trouble, and now don’t neglect fantasy… he stays in those lanes all is good.

I’ll also coach him a little on milb. He won’t be torching earth. I want him to follow some milb. I’ll advise him 1st year but he shouldn’t be dealing prospect/draft capital until he gets it

I think I’m cutting it to $500 and a title only. He’ll do the Yahoo league again at $250 buy in but this year I’m going to say I want my buy in back before he collects anything. This last year I told him he could keep whatever at the end. Basically third place was getting a little bit more than your buy in back

- New owners have been added in Fantrax.

- Other owners who want to participate in the dispersal draft will have to declare so by midnight on November 30th.

- Dispersal draft will begin December 1st.

- I've locked adds/drops and dropped all assets from the three teams participating so far. Picks and prospects with no MLB experience that are available can be found at the google docs link below.

- Non-participating owners will be allowed to trade into the draft. Commishes will process completed trades. This can be in once the final pick order has been established.

To clarify, if I am NOT in the draft, I can reach out to someone in the draft and say I want to trade you X player or FYPD pick for pick # X in the dispersal draft and we can pick someone remaining at that slot, correct?
