He looks a lot like Jacob deGrom. If he could follow in the same footsteps, that would be awesome haha. His minor league stats aren't anything special, though he's pitching in Citi Field and his numbers in his brief stint in the Majors last season was encouraging.

I don't remember a more polarizing young player than Gsellman this year. BP thinks he's an ace, other places think he's a swing-man. The minor league numbers were bad, the MLB numbers were good. Projections systems think he's a back-end starter, fans think he's a #1/2.

I wouldn't put too much stock in his MiLB stats from before 2016, his stuff took a step forward last year and it all crystallized in a hurry for him. And of course, the Mets AAA club is in Vegas, and we all know how that goes. I think he can be a solid SP3 right away with a chance for a bit more.

I dropped Gsellman in this league during the playoffs and I definitely regret it. I think BP is too high but everybody else is far too low. I see a K/9 around 8, BB/9 around 3, ERA in the mid-3s. That's not an ace but it's definitely a young SP that I want on my team.
