I'm gonna need someone to explain to me how Bautista where he went = good pick, Cruz = bad pick. Then Seager where he went = good pick, Buxton where he went = bad pick.

None of that makes sense. I can't tell if you guys are just group trolling or actually hate the picks that much, but if you're trolling it's starting to get pretty annoying.

Probably cause Seager hit and Buxton didn't. I'm just guessing.

Who said that Cruz was a bad pick?

oh ok. 27 games of a .387 BABIP then.

Was wondering and it seems like a simple case of group retardation.

I think it's just several groups of people with different philosophies. One rips one kind of move, another rips the other. Then there's the third group that waits until they see the direction of the prevailing winds and pile on.

I wonder who falls in that group...

I was mostly trolling you about Cruz, and genuinely hated the Buxton pick. I apologize for the trolling.

Yeah well when I'm flip flopping amongst a bunch of 30+ year old injury prone dirtbags, not a bad time to gamble. I don't love Buxton either but I don't really see him being as good as Yelich as a huge leap.

PS, I appreciate you apologizing and I'm sorry for being more soft than usual. Not sure why it's bothering me so much now.

I would've taken a guy like, hmm, Greinke over Cruz (wonder where that's coming from), but everything besides the Buxton pick is fine imo

Honestly, the most shocking thing about the Buxton pick is the guy who took him. I don't like the pick, and there's obvious upside, but the fact that Boxy out of all people is the one who took him is surprising given what we know about him.

I had enough bankable production that I felt I could afford a risk on Buxton.
