Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Anyone interested in 6-8 and 6-10? I'll take a 2024 6th for both.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Anyone interested in 6-8 and 6-10? I'll take a 2024 6th for both. I’ll do that
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 I’ll do that Confirmed.
BTS Community Moderator Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 No reason why we can't finish this today. If you're not using your last pick, please let me know instead of letting your clock run out.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 If I have any left I’m not using them
BTS Community Moderator Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 If I have any left I’m not using them I'll remove 6-20 from you
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 I'll remove 6-20 from you Hopefully the procedure went well.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Come on connor! Jesus lol. Where’s the fire, it’s 6-16
BTS Community Moderator Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Thank you Connor. Draft is over. I've waived all FAs and reduced roster sizes back to 26. Please clean your rosters ASAP. If you drafted someone who doesn't have a green flag, a commish can move them to your farm.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 My roster has been cleaned. Y'all looking forward to your H2H with Team Spooge?
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 (edited) Good job keeping the draft going at a solid pace Gentleman. I am really happy with my draft. I don't ever recall a draft with so much good near ready/ready MLB pitching. Nine out of the ten times if they are any good they would have already been taken in a FYPD/J2. My picks: Pick 1- Gavin Stone SP LAD. Stone is in the mix for a SP slot with the Dodgers later this year. Many have Stone over Miller, regardless, a MLB ready SP. Pick 2- Tink Hence- SP STL. Hink is a bit behind Stone just going into AA this year. However still relatively close to a shot at MLB considering most FYPD pitchers. Also, outside of Blue Jays circles (Tiedman), I would say one of the hottest spec SPs in terms of trade value and Fantasy player interest. Pick 3 - Tyler Locklear 3b/1b SEA. This Dude crushes the ball with elite EV. He tore up the AFL with multiple HRs games. Teams send their best to the AFL so it wasn't like weak competition. Pick 4. Gabriel Gonzalez - CF/OF SEA I deviated from my college ball and near ready pick strategy to take a 19 yr old Gonzalez. Some fantasy outlets have GGon as the top prospect in the M's solid stystem and compare him to a shorter and stockier JRod. Willing to excersise patience on this one. Pick 5. Robert Gasser- SP MIL Came to the BrewCrew in the Josh Hader trade. The dude tore up the minors and is near MLB ready. Another near MLB ready SP in this year's draft. Pick 6. Connor Phillips- SP CIN Came over to Cincy in the Suarez and Winker trade with the M's. One of the Red's top milb pitchers he is already at AA and a jump to the majors for a rebuilding Red's team would not be out of the question this season. Pick 7. DJ Herz - Cubs minor league pitcher of the year in 2021, the consensus is the kid had MLB stuff. It is just whether he will end up a SP or high leverage RP. Cubs are really high on him. Possibility of a late season cup of coffee, more likely 2024. However, not too far away for a FYPD draft pitcher with really good stuff that an org is so high on. For my last pick of the 2023 FYPD. Pick 8. Prelander Berroa- SP SEA. The M's put Berroa on their 40 man to protect him this year. The M's are high on him and feel they can get his BBs in line to go with his 35.6% plus K rate. Berroa pitched in AA last season and is again an high potential SP not too far from the MLB... Can you see the theme of my draft... Anyway, until next years draft. Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Correcting DD's post - the pitching in the AFL is generally subpar, and was particularly so in 2022.
BTS Community Moderator Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 I expect to once again go farther in the playoffs than Team Spooge
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Correcting DD's post - the pitching in the AFL is generally subpar, and was particularly so in 2022. Pearson pitched in the AFL prior to breaking into the bigs. Pitchers in the AFL in 2022 were guys like Quin Preister and Tink Hence. Maybe saying orgs send all their top pitchers is not correct. I will rephrase, there is some very solid pitching in the AFL. From the offensive stats you are compared to/your competing against some serious studs.

Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 If that is the best you can do to find fault in my draft, I will consider it a success. Not finding fault, just disseminating knowledge.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 I think objectively speaking the most interesting story will be the Senior CP team. When do they make their big move to the top
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 What do you say to that new clip, Jim. Only for you
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 What do you say to that new clip, Jim. Only for you You're a bigger perv than i thought

AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Not thrilled with my 1st pick (Norby - 4th overall). Kind of assumed I could trade this pick but it didn't happen. After that, it went decently well. Connor Norby Kyle Manzardo Ricky Tiedemann Adael Amador Wilmer Flores Cole Young Dalton Rushing Gabriel Martinez Enmanuel Valdez Nelson Quiroz Bryan Ramos Also picked up Oswald Peraza and Austin Wells along the way.
BTS Community Moderator Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Pretty sure waiver priority is messed up
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Do we need rosters set properly before spring training starts?? What if we drop someone and they get picked up on waivers, only for there to be an injury to someone else on the roster early in spring training? I guess you’re just SOL in that situation?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 (edited) Pretty sure waiver priority is messed up Always after using the draft room, FT glitch. Fixed it. Edited February 18, 2023 by Spanky99

No, you don't have to worry about anything until the regular season starts.

Once your rosters are legal this one time, you’re free to do whatever you want until next years’s NPD except add players who haven’t played a MLB game. Fantrax won’t let you add players above the roster size limits, and wont let you keep players on the IL if their red flag is gone. You’ll be going to the FA pool often to replace injured/underperforming players.
