Thanks. I appreciate it. All other leagues I was in was with a friend and he's taking over all the week to week stuff while I deal with this.

Hey guys, I really tried my best to be a part of this league. But I was diagnosed recently with a progressive disease. I was doing well for a while but it's been too mentally draining lately to even think about continuing with this team. I feel terrible, but I know I won't be as active as I'd like. And that wouldn't be fair to the league. If you can get someone to take over my team, I think it would be best for all. Again, apologies for this.

 

So sorry to hear, hopefully it doesn't impact you too much for a long time yet!

Just do what we did in the BBDL and freeze the one team. With 19 weeks anyway (I'm assuming you set it up that way), no one is at an overall advantage. It is preferable if you pair up a terrible team with that one in the last week though. Maybe you could face them? :cool:

Just changed the schedule to be 19 weeks. Seems like the most fair way to do it.

 

Not sure I want to commit to locking the team for the entire season though. Maybe.

Actually, I don't know about the 19-week season. Feels weird to end the playoffs on Sep 18 when the season runs to Oct 5th. But giving every team one opponent that they see twice isn't ideal either and the balanced schedule is nice.

 

Anyone have thought before the season starts tomorrow?

Are you merging the final playoff matchup for the championship? I think that should take it to the 25th.

 

It's not ideal, but if we can find someone in the next day or two then can take over. If you have someone in the middle of the season, it would disadvantage teams that face them later in the year (unless you want to set the lineups yourself for the missing team)

I can run the team through every week setting lineups picking up filler for the roster barring injury. IDK.

Not currently. It's not something we've done in past years.

Of course, unless something unforeseen happens, I'm good. I've been doing it for 3 teams now in the WTPDL. lol

I got two e-mails within 4 hours of posting the league. Seems like a pretty good recruitment tool. Hopefully this guy works out.
