So I started with Rogers and Mahle, my instinct told me he would probably want Alcantra. He rejected Rogers and Mahle and countered with Webb and Alcantra. I could have split his counter down the middle and maybe added Alcantra and Mahle or Gallen. Only Adam knows if he would have accepted something like that.

 

However, I do agree with his original selling point. I believe Bichette is a valid candidate for a top 5 Fantasy player. Young guys like Bichette don't became available very often and if they do even rarer you are a good fit or have the assets to make a competitive offer.

 

Lastly, I didn't want to give anyone an opportunity to drive the price up my starting a bidding war. So, yes expensive, but I did what it took to seize the moment and get it done.

 

NOT easy giving up Alcantra and Webb.. However, if you want value, you need to give up value.

If we are messaging guys here anyway after each pick I don't see what is so complicated about posting your pick here, adding the player on Fantrax and then messaging whoever is up next

Upside is the auto-messaging feature. Downside is that it requires significant admin oversight if people don't clear roster space before the draft or make mid-draft trades.

 

I'm personally fine with either, but if pressed I'd choose to just do it with a google docs list and message next up.

You can make a queue of players and turn on auto-draft if you’re away from your phone for a while.

I think the draft room is easier from both an admin perspective and a player perspective. The draft also seems to move a bit faster.

I believe you know my answer, I'll set it up when you want, if we go that route. People just need to use the queue with their rankings and select auto draft from queue.
