Well I regret dropping Mullins in DDL before the season so consider it an intra league trade that you won but worked out for both sides.

When Fantrax opens the 2022 season next week I'll be tabling an offseason vote to remove the following rule.

 

Rationale:

- I don't want to monitor it.

- I don't see an angle for abuse. If owners want to use a farm slot on young or previously dropped MLB players, I don't see why they should be prevented from doing so.

 

Prospects may be kept on an MiLB roster until the following MLB conditions are met:

 

Hitters: 1000 career PA

 

Pitchers: 50 career X [where X = GS + 0.5(relief appearances)]

 

Once a prospect has crossed one of these thresholds, he must be promoted to the MLB roster prior to the start of the NPD (see section 3). If a player has exceed this threshold and is not removed from the owner's farm before the start of the NPD, he will be removed from the owner's roster and be made available in the draft.

I don't have any concern, the only real impact I can see is an increase in the value of waiver position. Plus Danger will get to keep those prospects he's developed an emotional attachment to, for long past the drop point.

The only real abuse might be someone putting a good suspended or Covid player on there, then being able to keep them there indefinitely until they're needed. However, I don't really see it happening often enough to be worth the aggravation in keeping track.

I was doing this sort of thing this year. It's allowed as long as these players are dropped before the NPD. Then after the NPD, can be picked right back up again.
